The Center for Knowledge, Communication and Technology (PPKT – malay acronym) was established in December 2002. As the premier ICT service provider in USM, our mission is to create a competent and efficient customer centered support service.

PPKT’s responsibility encompasses ICT services for USM 3 campuses, main campus in Penang Island, Engineering Campus in Penang located on the main land and Health Campus in Kelantan. PPKT focuses on the operational support comprising:

1. the campus network and telecommunication infrastructure

2. administrative computer system

3. computer facilities and support services

PPKT aspires to become a technology enabler and partner to local and global research entities and to lead in the adoption of new opportunities and technologies. Our motto “Enable and Innovate (enovate)” describes our desire towards achieving our objectives.
